Festival de Alebrijes Monumentales
The call for the 16th edition of MAP’s Monumental Alebrijes Parade and Contest has finally been published. This event will fill the CDMX with colors; artisans and artists from Mexico will create amazing characters and then show them around the most important areas of the city.
The parade will begin at 🕛 12:00 (October 19) at the 📍 Zócalo and will culminate at the Angel of Independence. The route includes 5 de Mayo, Juárez and Paseo de la Reforma avenues.
In this show you will be able to see floats that will present monumental pieces, up to 2.60 meters high! It is one of the most important events in Mexico City, as it gathers thousands of people eager to see the new creations.
Don’t worry if you can’t attend the parade, you will be able to see the alebrijes on Paseo de la Reforma. You will appreciate every detail of the pieces and you can even take pictures with them. This exhibition will be available from 📅 20:00 hours from October 19 until November 3, 2024.
