What is a Michelin Star?

A Michelin Star is an annual award bestowed upon restaurants that demonstrate exceptional culinary excellence. The evaluation is based on five universal criteria: the quality of the ingredients, the harmony of flavors, the mastery of techniques, the chef’s unique expression through their cuisine, and crucially, the consistency of these elements throughout the menu and over time.

In addition to discovering new Star-worthy restaurants, the famously anonymous Michelin Inspectors consistently re-evaluate existing Star establishments to ensure they continue to provide the same high standard of cooking to their guests.
