The Complete Guide to Polanco
Its unbeatable location, and its commercial and cultural offering, make Polanco one of the most sought-after neighborhoods, perhaps the most, in the entire city.
It is located between the most central neighborhoods in Mexico City, such as Roma, Condesa, San Miguel Chapultepec, Lomas de Chapultepec, and just next to the Bosque de Chapultepec, the main green area of the city, This places Polanco in an unbeatable position.
The following avenues surround Polanco:
– Reforma (to the south)
– Ejercito Nacional (to the north)
– Mariano Escobedo (to the east)
– Manuel Ávila Camacho Boulevard (to the west).
In addition to these, Polanco is crossed by Presidente Masaryk, famous for its renowned boutique shops such as Fendi, Dolce & Gabanna, Tiffany, Montblanc, Rolex and more!
This neighborhood has numerous Eco Bici service stations (see map), and has two metro stations: Auditorio Nacional and Polanco (both on Line 7).

Parque Lincoln
This is the most iconic park of Polanco. With a children’s park, open-air theater, aviary and two reflecting pools, you will have a great walk.
Bosque de Chapultepec
This is a must-stop in your trip to Mexico City. Here are 5 activities you can do:
- Castle of Chapultepec
- Cultural Complex of Los Pinos
- Bosque de Chapultepec Botanical Garden
- Museum of Natural History and Ambiental Culture
- Tamayo Contemporary Art Museum
Campos Elíseos
Campos Elíseos is a beautiful tree-lined avenue divided on the border between Polanco Park and Chapultepec. It has a length of about two kilometers, touches Paseo de la Reforma at the Bolívar Monument, then continues northwest for another 1.25 kilometers. To the west, it borders Lebanon Park, named after the Lebanese Embassy. To the east, the ARC defines a neighborhood of hotels and international embassies. It establishes the outline of Chapultepec Reforma, home to many of the city’s most important museums.
Masaryk Avenue
It is undoubtedly the mecca of boutiques and big brands. Hugo Boss, Prada, Hermes, Dior, Scappino, and Louis Vuitton come together here, to name just a few, as well as more “youthful” ones like Diesel or Mac Store.
Parque Tamayo
Tamayo Park is in the northern area of the First Section, between Av. Reforma and Gandhi and has an area of 14.7 hectares.
Parque Gandhi
It is visited by runners from the area as well as from other parts of the city and looks completely renovated thanks to the outdoor lighting network and the new walkways and accesses with ramps for people with disabilities.
Jardín de la República del Líbano
This park forms a wedge between Reforma and the western section of the Champs Elysées, an avenue where, in addition to residences, luxury apartments and commercial houses, several embassies of foreign countries are also located. Today it is a small nature reserve and quite popular green area.
Plaza Uruguay
Plaza Uruguay is a popular park in the Polanco neighborhood. It is famous for the brutalist style fountain located right in its center. Also well known is the monument to the Uruguayan independence leader, General José Gervasio Artigas. You can find the statue representing him in front of Horacio Avenue, just north of the park.
Parque América
This park serves as the centerpiece of the long esplanades of Horacio Avenue in Polanco.
